The New Orleans Saints were founded in 1967 as an expansion team.  They play their home games at the Louisiana Superdome and summer training camp is held at Millsaps College.  The current team owners are Tom Benson and Rita Benson LeBlanc; the general manager is Mickey Loomis; the team is led by head coach Sean Payton.  The Saints have won 3 division championships and former members Doug Atkins, Earl Campbell, Jim Finks, Hank Stram, Jim Taylor, and Mike Ditka are all enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  The following jersey numbers are retired (either officially or unofficially) by the New Orleans Saints:
# 81 - Doug Atkins - DE - 1953-1969
# 31 - Jim Taylor - FB - 1958-1967
# 8 - Archie Manning - QB - 1971-1984
# 57 - Rickey Jackson - LB - 1981-1995
