Florida Marlins Baseball The Florida Marlins were established in 1993, and the team competes in the Eastern Division of the National League. They have played their home games at Dolphin Stadium since their establishment as a team. Also noteworthy is that the Marlins have won the World Series twice- each time they were in it- however, they have never been first place in their Division, as each World Series appearance was due to the Wild Card. The current owner is Jeffrey Loria, the current general manager, Michael Hill, and the current manager, Fredi Gonzalez. The team only has two retired numbers. # 42 – Jackie Robinson – which is retired throughout baseball, and # 5 – Carl Barger. Mr. Barger was the first team president who died just before the team’s first season. # 5 is actually Joe DiMaggio’s number, and he was Carl Barger’s favorite baseball player. We are not the Florida Marlins Box office, nor are we affiliated in any way with the Florida Marlins. We are an independent ticket agency that buys and sells Marlins tickets on the secondary market. Marlins tickets are sold at market prices, not the price printed on the ticket. Our prices reflect the difficulty in obtaining quality tickets for sporting events in Florida. All Marlins ticket orders are shipped via FedEx, with a signature requirement. Most ticket orders are shipped the same or next day. CALL |
