Virginia Cavaliers Basketball Tickets
The first season for Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball was the 1905/1906 season. And in over 100 years of playing, the Cavaliers have made it to the Final Four twice. After moving to the new John Paul Jones Arena on campus, and under the tutiledge of 2nd year head coach Dave Leitao, the Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball team started improving, as they showed everyone last season by advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The last Final Four appearance was in 1984, and the 'Hoos are hungry to go again. The new arena is one of the three largest arenas on a college campus. The team has six retired numbers, and one retired jersey. They are as follows:
Retired Numbers
3 - 1981 - Jeff Lamp
14 - 1955 - Buzzy Wilkinson
20 - 1992 - Bryant Smith
40 - 1973 - Barry Parkhill
41 - 1976 - Wally Walker
50 - 1983 - Ralph Sampson
Retired Jerseys
5 - 1998 - Curtis Staples
All home games are in bold orange. All times are Eastern.
