The New England Patriots hope to improve upon last season's record of 11-5 and make it to the playoff this year. There were many personnel changes for the Patriots this year. Vice President of Player Personnel, Scott Pioli, became G.M. of the Chiefs. Nick Caserio, the Director of Player Personnel, took over Pioli's duties. Former Titants G.M., Floyd Reese, became Senior Football Advisor. The coaching staff also saw a lot of changes. Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Josh McDaniels took over as head coach of the Broncos. Wide receivers coach Bill O'Brien took over for McDaniels as quarterbacks coach. Chad O'Shea, from the Vikings, replaced O'Brien as wide receivers coach. Brad Sheely was replaces with Scott O'Brien. Additionally, on the players side, Matt Cassel, Mike Vrabel, and Ellis Hobbs were all traded. Kelley Washington, and Billy Yates were released. Jabar Gaffney, Lonie Paxton, LaMont Jordan, Heath Evans, and Larry Izzo all left for other teams. And Fred Taylor, Shawn Springs, Leigh Bodden, Chris Baker, Joey Galloway, and Nathan Hodel (just to name a few) were all signed.
