July 13-15, 2008

Get your tickets now for the 2008 All Star Game! The All-Star Game is an annual baseball game between the American League and the National League, popularly known as "The Midsummer Classic" because it marks roughly the mid-season point for Major League Baseball. The first All Star Game was played at the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago, Illinois. A sports editor named Arch Ward conceptualized the idea, and so the Ward Trophy is awarded each year to the game's MVP. Fans vote for starting position players while managers vote for pitchers and reserve players. Be part of the excitement as Major League Baseball's best players battle it out on the same field. The pennant winner of the winning league is awarded home field advantage for the upcoming World Series.

This year, the game will be held at Yankee Stadium, and it will be the fourth and final time that the Stadium has hosted the All-Star Game.  The Yankees will be playing in a new stadium beginning with the 2009 season, so this is definitely a game to remember. The manager for the 2008 All-Star American League team is Terry Francona, and the manager for the 2008 All-Star National League team is Clint Hurdle.  Scroll down to see rules and regulations for Yankee Stadium.
