The Boston Red Sox were established in 1901 and have been playing at Fenway Park since 1912.  They compete in the Eastern Division of the American League.  The Red Sox have won 7 World Series, the latest one being this year.  The team is owned by John Henry and Tom Werner, it is managed by Terry Francona, and the general manager is Theo Epstein.  The Red Sox have so many former players in the Hall of Fame.  That list includes, but is not limited to Wade Boggs, Cy Young, Babe Ruth, and Tom Seaver.  They also have several retired numbers, and they are:

# 4 – Joe Cronin

# 8 – Carl Yastrzemski

# 9 – Ted Williams

# 27 – Carlton Fisk

# 42 – Jackie Robinson (retired throughout baseball)
