Click here to Buy Redskins Tickets Today! According to Forbes Magazine, the Washington Redskins are the second most valuable franchise in the NFL, valued at roughly $1.467 billion. They have also broken the NFL's mark for single season attendance 6 years in a row. The Redskins have won 5 championships, and 3 Super Bowls. 4 of 5 Super Bowls were under the aforementioned Joe Gibbs, who will be sorely missed this season. Another interesting fact is that the Redskins are one of only two NFL teams with an official marching band, the other team being the Baltimore Ravens. Originally based in Boston in 1932, they were known as the Braves, changing their name to the Boston Redskins in 1933, and finally, after moving to DC in 1937, became the Washington Redksins. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
