This year's Hall of Fame Game features the Pittsburgh Steelers versus the New Orleans Saints at Heinz Field on Sunday, August 5th at 8 pm. This game will showcase not only two tremendous teams, but some great competition as well. Last season the Steelers were only 3rd in the AFC North. The Saints were #1 in NFC South. North versus South, AFC versus NFC, and the number one team against the number 3. Even if it is the pre-season, it should still be a great game. The Saints were lucky/smart enough to hold on to Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, and Marques Colston, which will most certainly help them this season. The Saints are still up against Ben Roethlisberger though, and while he has some kinks to work out himself, he is still a great quarterback and may take his team to victory this year.

It's the battle of Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Philadelphia Eagles at Heinz Field on Sunday, August 26th at 8 pm. Although Pittsburgh was only third in 2006 in the AFC North, while the Eagles were number one in the NFC East, both teams have phenomenal quarterbacks, both of whom just need a little work to get back on their feet. Donovan McNabb may still be battling some injuries, and Ben Roethlisberger had a string of bad luck last season. But both are go this season, so this game should be a great test for these two teams.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Green Bay Packers in their second pre-season game at Heinz Field on Saturday, August 11th at 7:30 pm. The Steelers ranked third in their division last year, but the Packers were second. The Packers may have the youngest roster this year. Coach Mike McCarthy wants to let the team grow together, which may not be a bad move. And it is one Steelers coach Mike Tomlin most certainly understands, being a young and new to the team himself.
