D.A.R. Constitution Hall is owned by the Daughters of the American Revolution; it was built in 1929 and is a Registered National Historic Landmark. Every president since Calvin Coolidge has attended events at this historic location. In fact, the cornerstone was laid by Mrs. Calvin Coolidge on October 30th, 1928, using the trowel that George Washington used to lay the cornerstone at the Capitol in 1793. D.A.R. There are also parking garages on New York and Pennsylvania Avenues, and on 17th and 18th Streets. You can also take the Metro to D.A.R. Constitution Hall.
