D.A.R. Constitution Hall is owned by the Daughters of the American Revolution; it was built in 1929 and is a Registered National Historic Landmark.  Every president since Calvin Coolidge has attended events at this historic location.  In fact, the cornerstone was laid by Mrs. Calvin Coolidge on October 30th, 1928, using the trowel that George Washington used to lay the cornerstone at the Capitol in 1793.  D.A.R. Constitution Hall was also home to the National Symphony for 41 years.  Get your tickets now to see a show at this amazing venue!

 

Directions and Parking Information for D.A.R.

From the North:
Take I-95 South or 295 South to 495 West towards Northern Virginia.  Take exit # 30 (Georgia Ave./29 South).  Make a slight right onto 16th Street South.  Turn right on I Street.  At the 2nd light, make a left onto 17th Street.  Turn right on either C or D Streets. D.A.R. is on 18th Street, between C and D Streets.

From the West:
Take 270 South to 495 West towards Northern Virginia. Take the exit to the George Washington Parkway. After crossing the Roosevelt Bridge, stay in the left lane and follow signs for E Street. Take E Street, then make a right on 17th Street. Turn right on either C or D Streets. D.A.R. is on 18th Street, between C and D Streets.

From Northern Virginia:
Take 66 East towards Washington. This will take you onto Constitution Ave. Turn left on 18th Street. D.A.R. is between C and D Streets.

From the South: 
Take 395 North to Washington Boulevard-Memorial Bridge/Pentagon/Arlington Cemetary and get in the far left lane. Go across Memorial Bridge and get into the center lane. At the Lincoln Memorial, bear left and follow the road to the left on Henry Bacon Avenue. Make a right onto Constitution Avenue. Turn left on 18th Street. D.A.R. is between C and D Streets.

There is metered street parking, although it is limited.  There are also parking garages on New York and Pennsylvania Avenues, and on 17th and 18th Streets.

You can also take the Metro to D.A.R. Constitution Hall.  From the Orange and Blue Lines, get off at Farragut West.  From the Red Line, get off at Farragut North.
