The Birchmere is general admission; therefore seating is done on a first come first served basis. In order to keep the process running smoothly, all customers are to pick up a line number when they arrive, and seating is based on the line numbers. Line numbers can be picked up from the box office starting at 5:00 pm. Line numbers are not used for Bandstand shows. All seating is at tables, unless it is a Bandstand show. The bar opens at 5:00 pm and the kitchen opens at 6:00 pm. There are no drink minimums. While there is no formal dress code policy, men are asked to refrain from wearing tank tops or cutoffs. All people, regardless of age, need a ticket. Silence is requested while the performer is on stage. No audio or video recorders are allowed. You must remain seated during the performance, unless a dance floor is set up. No cameras are allowed. Smoking is only allowed in the bar.
