Some rules, regulations, and advice for enjoying your performance at Wolf Trap:

At the Filene Center, smoking is only allowed in the designated locations. Smoking is not allowed in any seating area (including the lawn), the restrooms, or within 25 feet of theatre entrances.

The lawn has a seperate sound system, so you should always be able to hear the performance. You should be able to see the performance, and your chances of that are greatly improved if you arrive early, as the lawn is seated on a first come first served basis. But please note that a direct visual line to the stage is never guaranteed.

Outside food and beverage (including alcoholic beverages) are allowed in the venue in any kind of container except for kegs. While you cannot bring it into the pavilion, it is allowed on the lawn and in the picnic areas. So come early and bring a lunch, or dinner, depending on the event.

All shows take place rain or shine, so come prepared for the elements. Occasionally, if it is raining and there are pavilion seats left, patrons may upgrade to the pavilion by paying the difference in price at the box office. But do not count on this, as extra seating is never guaranteed. Bring an umbrella.

You may bring a lawn chair to sit on the lawn, but you must sit at the back of the lawn behind the signs indicating that.

With the exception of service animals assisting disabled guests, pets are not allowed.
