About Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury is a name that rouses much excitement in boxing fans everywhere. This world champion Heavyweight is undefeated in his division, holding 30 wins out of his 31 bouts. He’s been active as a professional boxer since 2008 and in that twelve-year span he has made his mark on the profession by taking on other fan-favorite boxers and claiming titles.
United Kingdom born and raised, this badass Brit has dominated the boxing scene across the pond and in America, battling other Heavyweight champions like Deontay Wilder and coming out on top. Fury doesn’t even begin to cover this powerhouse’s abilities as even as an amateur, he started training at ten years old and represented both England and Ireland in multiple championship competitions. Though he was passed over for the 2008 Olympics, he decided to not let it discourage him and entered boxing professionally that year.
His most well-known fights have been against Deontay Wilder, who held the World Boxing Council’s heavyweight title as well as The Ring magazine title. After claiming these from Wilder at the Staples Center in Los Angeles even though the match was a draw he solidified himself as the third boxer in history to hold the magazine’s titles two times.
He took on Wilder again in 2020 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, not vacating either title upon winning the match. Though his next match has yet to be announced, Fury fans will want to keep an eye out for tickets as premium seating like VIP boxes and suites won’t last long.
